Recipe: Shaken Matcha Coconut Water with Mint
- 3g. SATO ceremonial grade matcha
- 250-300 ml cold coconut water
- Fresh mint (4–6 leaves)
- Ice
- Optional: squeeze of lime or honey
Add everything to a shaker or bottle, shake hard for 10-15 seconds, pour over ice and drink immediately.
WHY?
After training, our body needs three things fast: hydration, electrolytes, and recovery support. This combo delivers all three without sugar crashes or artificial stuff.
Coconut water is naturally rich in potassium and magnesium, two electrolytes you lose through sweat. Potassium helps restore fluid balance inside cells, while magnesium supports muscle relaxation and reduces post workout fatigue. Compared to many sports drinks, coconut water hydrates effectively with lower sugar and no synthetic additives.
Matcha adds a different layer of recovery. It contains catechins (especially EGCG), which are powerful antioxidants that help reduce exercise-induced oxidative stress. That matters because intense training increases free radicals, which can slow recovery. Matcha also provides L-theanine paired with caffeine, giving steady energy instead of a spike. Post workout, this helps you feel clear and balanced rather than overstimulated.
You don’t need tools, heat, or prep time, just clean ingredients.
